Keep Google Personalized Ads Off

There are a number of Android settings that can be dangerous if left on, and one of the most dangerous is the “Allow Personalized Ads” setting. This setting allows Google to track your browsing history and serve you personalized ads based on your interests. While this may not seem like a big deal, it can lead to some serious privacy concerns.

If you’re not comfortable with Google knowing everything about your browsing habits, then it’s best to keep this setting turned off. You can do this by going into the Google settings app and selecting “Ads.” From there, you should see an option to opt out of interest-based ads. Once you’ve turned this setting off, you’ll no longer receive personalized ads from Google.

  • Go to settings
  • Open “google”
  • Tap on manage google accounts
  • Now tap on “Data and Privacy”
  • Open “Personalized Ads”
  • Choose the browser option ( here I chose chrome)
  • Scroll down and you have three options
  • web and app Activity
  • YouTube History
  • Areas where you have used google
  • Just open the above options one by one and make them off. ( as shown below in the snapshots)

Keep Other Unnecessary App location Access Off

When it comes to Android, there are a few settings that can pose serious security risks if they’re turned on. One of those is the “Allow installation of apps from unknown sources” setting, which allows you to install apps from places other than the Google Play Store. This can be a dangerous setting because it opens up your phone to potentially malicious apps that could wreak havoc on your device.

Another dangerous setting is Keeping unnecessary App location access on. There are many apps which ask your location access even if they don’t need it. This setting allows apps to access your location even when you’re not using them. This poses a privacy risk because it means that apps can track your whereabouts without your knowledge or consent.

The best way to protect yourself is to make sure location access is turned off. You can do this by going into your phone’s Settings menu and selecting the “location” option. From there, you should see an option to turn it off . By doing so, you’ll help keep your phone safe and secure.

  • Go to settings then Apps
  • Tap on Manage apps
  • Now open those apps which are accessing your location unnecessarily
  • Tap App Permissions
  • Open location
  • Tap on deny

Keep Wifi Scanning Off

If you keep wifi scanning off, you can prevent your device from automatically connecting to networks that it doesn’t recognize. This can help to keep your data usage down and protect your privacy.

When you enable wifi scanning, your device will periodically scan for available networks even when you’re not actively using wifi. This can lead to increased data usage and battery drain. Additionally, it can also make it easier for others to track your location if they know the networks that you typically connect to.

If you’re concerned about privacy or data usage, we recommend keeping wifi scanning turned off.

  • Open location under settings
  • Tap on Wifi and Bluetooth Scanning
  • Turned both options off
