Oppo Announced ColorOS 12 based on Android 12
ColorOS 12 includes many of the standard Android 12 features, such as the wallpaper-based Material You theme. The skin also brings new 3D icons with new animations.
Oppo today announced the global version of its new ColorOS 12. ColorOS 12 is based on Android 12 and will be available for various Oppo phones later this year. It was previously announced in China.
Oppo has also announced beta versions of ColorOS 12 for some of their devices and users with these smartphones can test ColorOS 12 on their phones right away. The new update delivers a redesigned user interface (user interface), smoother performance, and “features that increase daily productivity,” says Oppo.

Oppo also announced Omoji, the branding implementation of custom emojis that use your facial data and algorithms to create a custom animated avatar that can then be used in emojis.

Oppo ColorOS 12
ColorOS 12 also offers PC Connect, which allows users to easily transfer data between their PCs and their ColorOS 12 device. There is also a new smart sidebar to help users with things like translation. Oppo also claims that the new skin has all the security and privacy features of Android 12, including the new privacy panel. It also includes approximate co-location indicators and microphone and camera indicators.
Oppo will begin ColorOS 12 in select countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. In India, the first update will arrive on the Reno series starting with the Reno6 Pro 5G, Reno6 Pro Diwali Edition, and Reno6 5G. Rollouts for other supported models will continue through 2021 and 2022.
Oppo has also announced a roadmap for all of its smartphones that will receive the ColorOS 12 update. The image shows that the update will arrive on the Find X3 Pro 5G in October 2021, while the Find X2 and Reno 6 series phones will receive it in November 2021.
In December 2021, the update will arrive on the Reno 5 Pro 5G, F19 Pro+, and A745G. Other devices including the Reno 10X Zoom, Reno 3 Pro, Reno 4 Pro, and several other F-series and A series phones will receive the update in 2022.
